I find it very hard to find a 'Pro' for what is only a file update of the original Mapsource. It seems to me that Garmin goes to some extra effort to make using their Apps difficult to sort out and use.

If you don't already have Mapsource installed it it just a useless waste of time. It is an update to the original version. I was looking for an App to be installed on my new computer and continue what I started in my old XP. The original version was very hard to use and not user friendly at all. It is a shame because the car version of Garmin Nuvi is a pleasure to use in my car and motor home.

Great hardware and the software keeps it current

Overa- ll a joy to fly by hand, speed control keeps you busy and the FM is realistic enough to satisfy most pilots. That said I admit to speed reading the better than normal manuals. Again, those who want to really bury their faces in the FMS and have RW approach plates in hand will be be getting the usual Carenado basic barely enough to get realism.
